7 Ways to Supercharge Your Dopamine Levels To Never Feel Sad, Depressed or Anxious Again

The human brain is a complex combination of electricity and brain chemicals; each one serving a different purpose. You can actually supercharge your ‘feel good chemicals’ in your brain doing these 7 things!

The brain has many different neurochemicals, but there are four main chemicals that are known as ‘the feel good chemicals’. These chemicals are what is released in your brain when something good happens to you. For example, you feel excited when you get something new. Another great example of these chemicals is the climax. When you peak, a combination of chemicals release which induces the euphoric feeling.

The four main happy chemicals are known as Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins. Each one plays a different role in one’s happiness, but the main ‘happy’ chemical is Dopamine. If you have reduced Dopamine levels it can lead to things like consistent negativity and depression. If you are experiencing reduced dopamine levels, doctors will prescribe you the latest anti-depressant. Antidepressants often have worse side effects than the depression you’re trying to treat. Also, your body becomes dependent on the drug and you have to continually up the dosage for your entire life.

Instead, you can do these 10 things to naturally boost your dopamine levels in your brain! Doing these simple things will improve your daily life and there are no adverse side effects. They’re easy, and anyone can do them. If you have been feeling down lately, I would totally recommend you try these.

Exercise

Exercising increases a number of endorphin’s released in the brain. This makes you feel great, and it also reduces your stress. Additionally, exercising also increases the amount of Dopamine and Serotonin released!

Avoid Addictions

Any addictive medication or substance affects one’s brain chemistry entirely. Your base levels of dopamine will decrease and you will slowly become more and more dependent on the substance. If you avoid addictions, you will have a stabilized base level of dopamine.

Detox

Detoxifying your liver will decrease the amount of harmful bacteria and toxins in your body. These toxins are known to affect your dopamine levels in your brain.

Listen to Music

 

Listening to music makes you feel amazing! Anyone can create to the feeling you experience when you discover your new favorite song. You get this feeling because the pleasurable melodies of music cause brain chemicals such as dopamine to be released!

Strive For Completing Goals

Your dopamine levels are instantly increased when you complete a goal. Achievements feel great, and that is just one more reason why it is crucial for you to set positive goals for yourself! Saving money is a great way to start. Not only will you feel great, but you’ll also have a building savings account!

Increase Tyrosine

 

Tyrosine is an amino acid and it is crucial in the production of dopamine. Be sure to consume almonds, bananas, dark chocolate, and green tea.

Give Yourself Credit

When you achieve something, it makes you feel good. The thought that you have made a positive impact on something will cause Dopamine to be released. You can manipulate this process by displaying your achievements you have made. When you are visually reminded of your achievements it makes you feel good!
